The Brothers that Just do Gutters of Sioux Falls, SD is currently seeking an experienced full-time Solutionist (Sales Representative - estimator) to assist customers with their questions and concerns related to exterior gutter systems. 

Basic Function: To sell the company’s services to the public to generate a quality product for the client and profit for the company. 

1.  Communication: 

  • Set and achieve goals for sales volumes, closing rates and gross profits. 
  • Maintains regular communication with the owner, staff and field personnel, working cooperatively to develop methods and systems that are most effective for growing the business. 
  • Maintains company reputation of integrity and professionalism by communicating with clients in a professional manner, being punctual for appointments, returning phone calls promptly, etc. 
  • Assures that all necessary information pertaining to jobs is communicated to crew leaders as necessary (i.e. job colors, job scopes, scheduling, billing, etc.) 
  • Maintains open communication with Jr. Head Installers, Head Installers, Crew Leaders and Field Supervisors, in order to remain knowledgeable of jobs and teams. 
  • Communicates with all employees in a positive and respectful manner. 
2.  Sales and Estimating Responsibilities 

  • Attends all estimates on time, calls all clients prior to arriving at estimate, submit estimates and returns all calls in a timely manner while maintaining a high degree of professionalism. 
  • Prices new opportunities while meeting with the client at current production rates.  
  • Provides product differentiation and solutions to client throughout selling process (assists client in understanding exactly what they are paying for and why it is a superior product.) 
  • Effectively sells the company’s services to the client in a competitive atmosphere by understanding the clients’ needs and selling to satisfy those needs.  
  • Helps jobs stay “happy and under.”  
  • Strive to target and market the most profitable jobs 
  • Prioritizes work and actions in order to achieve established sales goals (see next page) 
  • Maintain closing and dollars sold percentage of at least 40%. Closing ratio is expected to climb significantly over time. 
  • Develops a well thought out prospecting plan focusing on generating leads for the company.  
  • Participates in networking groups to establish business relationships and promote company. 
  • Stops regularly at obvious potential clients or sites where gutter damage is evident or gutter related services are being performed, such as roofing or siding. 
  • Sales tracking worksheets are completed in their entirety before every sales meeting. 
3. Team Player Responsibilities 

  • Demonstrates positive leadership through all actions with all employees. 
  • Attends all meetings on time and participates. 
  • Works the necessary hours per week and perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely manner. 
  • Assists in the development and implementation of new systems, helping to maintain and increase the company’s profitability and organization as it changes and grows. 
  • Assists in problem solving and implementing solutions. 
  • Participates in planning company growth and development and supports company mission by following through on initiatives.  
4. Business Development 

  • Proactive lead generation through the following channels 
  • Networking groups (BNI, CoCs, Meetups, etc.) 
  • Referrals  
  • Cold outreach to contractors 
  • Assist the owner with campaigns to drive awareness, via email, phone or cold drop by 
  • Groups like Real Estate brokerage teams, contractors, property managers, and other trades groups 
  • Placement of signs and door knockers strategically throughout the day/week

Pay Structure for Solutionist® (Sales Associate) 

This Solutionist position works a full-time schedule and earns a weekly base pay plus commission and bonuses. We are industry leaders and believe that hard work can also be fun! 

In addition to competitive pay and our exceptional culture, we offer our installation technicians the following benefits and perks:

We will work together to devise a “sales cookbook” and set goals. There are many variables depending on the month you were hired and the seasonality of the business. We fully expect our Solutionist’s to sell over $1 million in revenue each business year starting in 2024. We strive as a company to continually improve our compensation packages and create opportunities for you to earn more money based on performance.  
Compensation: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
